Observations focused on the problems of an underdeveloped country, Venezuela, with some serendipity about the world (orchids, techs, science, investments, politics) at large. A famous Venezuelan, Juan Pablo Perez Alfonzo, referred to oil as the devil's excrement. For countries, easy wealth appears indeed to be the sure path to failure. Venezuela might be a clear example of that.
This is how the Chavez Government takes advantage of its power, with public buildings calling on people to vote NO on August 15th. This building is the main building of the Army’s techincal university and it says “No to interventionism”, “No to the disrespect of our sovereignity”
This is how everyone in the opposition would like it to look like: “For all this on August 15th. Vote SI”
