While there are some problems in some voting centers, by now all of
them are open and it is clear that abstention will be the winner
today. Abstention appears to be quite high, so high in fact that the
Vice-President said he was worried, a clear sign that teher is
abstention in both sides. Both the Mayor of Chacao and the Goevrnro of
Miranda rebuked the Minister of the Interior and Justice for his
threats, sending the message that come closing time people will be
going to voting centers to see the counting. The Mayor of Chacao
threatened back, saying they will open all of the boxes like teh law
says. Confrontation ahead? I don’t know, but it will be very
interesting tonight. I am sure the CNE thugs have a plan B, like
keeping voting centers open until later so that people get tired and
go away. Some centers ahve reported that paper ballots show a
different choice than what voters are pushing, even showing the
candidate for Mayor as the choice for Governor. In Caracas, one center
has yet to reopen due to this problem. How can this happen with these
perfect machines?
