The french organization Reporters sans frontičres condenmed today the agressions against the reporters that took place on Tuesady and asked the Government to investigate and identify those responsible for the agression. Robert Menard said that for the Government to tolerate the impunity would be to show that they are accomplices to these acts who also said that the Government would have to send clear signals on the matter.
The Devil's Excrement
Observations focused on the problems of an underdeveloped country, Venezuela, with some serendipity about the world (orchids, techs, science, investments, politics) at large. A famous Venezuelan, Juan Pablo Perez Alfonzo, referred to oil as the devil's excrement. For countries, easy wealth appears indeed to be the sure path to failure. Venezuela might be a clear example of that.
