Observations focused on the problems of an underdeveloped country, Venezuela, with some serendipity about the world (orchids, techs, science, investments, politics) at large. A famous Venezuelan, Juan Pablo Perez Alfonzo, referred to oil as the devil's excrement. For countries, easy wealth appears indeed to be the sure path to failure. Venezuela might be a clear example of that.

This is a picture of Hugo Chavez in Copenhagen last night. It remains unclear whether he was running away from the smell of sulfur after Obama spoke at the conference or if he is running away from one of those flying Dutchmen that wants to invade Venezuela.

Meanwhile back at the ranch, there are more protests, strikes, bank closings, hospital breakdowns, not to speak of the whole country’s infrastructure deteriorating on a downward spin!!!! But then, these so-called presidents of 4th world countries would never have come to power were it not for the ignorant voters who X’ed the spot!!!
