Observations focused on the problems of an underdeveloped country, Venezuela, with some serendipity about the world (orchids, techs, science, investments, politics) at large. A famous Venezuelan, Juan Pablo Perez Alfonzo, referred to oil as the devil's excrement. For countries, easy wealth appears indeed to be the sure path to failure. Venezuela might be a clear example of that.

Even with Thugo’s relentless fireworks, there is some refuge. Enjoy your Christmas and your post Christmas diet, and hope that Thugo continues his excess caloric intake.

Feliz Navidad. Estamos esperando mucha nieve. Los postres se ven divinos.

Stayed up way to late … did not overeat for a change… put smiles on the faces of those I love… Lamb is in the oven. House is still quiet. Just me and the puter for the moment.
Could not get over how many people will not have lamb, turkey or much of anything else today. Said a Prayer… this heart goes out to all of you VE. Have peace today. January 5th is just around the corner.
