  1. An Interested Observer Says:

Snoopy had his heart in the right place, but couldn’t do a single thing against the Red Baron because he lived in the wrong time and didn’t have the equipment/resources needed to accomplish his goal.

The OAS has all the resources it needs, is in the right time and place, and accomplishes exactly as much as Snoopy did.

  2. StJacques Says:

You know, now that I think it about it, “Peanut” (singular) would not be a bad nickname for Jose Miguel Insulza, “El Cacahuete.”

Don’t you just love the way it begins with “Caca” in Spanish?

    Deanna

    Right on!!!

  4. Deanna Says:

I wonder how long the OAS will last without the mandatory financial contributions of the US and Canada…about as long as the UN will last without the contributions of the US!!!!

  5. geha714 Says:

And even so, Chavez and his buddies want a whole new organization without US and Canada.

    Great cartoon, Miguel.

    NO… DOGS… ALLOWED!

  6. Otro Roberto Says:

    Eric,

I am afraid that you hit right on the spot with your last words regarding Insulza: “… and take his money.”

  7. jsb Says:

You’re on a roll with the cartoons!!

  8. Eric Says:

How nice it would be to hear anything, ANYTHING, from the OAS that’s critical of Chávez, pero ni con un pétalo de rosa.

Perhaps if the demons in Chávez’s mind finally persuade him to let loose the dogs of war, and Venezuela plays out la Guerra Federal, Parte II, and there are wholesale roundups at 4am of “suspected conspiratos”, and blood runs in the streets…maybe then people will turn to JM Insulza and ask why the f*ck did the OAS sit back on its heels and let it all come to this.

At least Snoopy railed against the Red Baron. Insulza has done nothing but kiss his ass and take his money.
